PRIVACY POLICY

Short version: We process clothing photos you upload solely to generate outfit recommendations. We don't store your photos after analysis. We don't sell your data. Ever.

1. Information We Collect

Photos You Upload: When you upload a photo of a clothing item, we process it using AI vision technology (OpenAI GPT-4o) to generate style and outfit recommendations. Your photo is not stored on our servers. It is sent directly to the AI model for analysis and the original image is discarded immediately after analysis is complete.

Wardrobe Data: Item labels and thumbnails are stored locally in your browser's local storage — not on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes your wardrobe.

Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and encrypted password to manage your subscription.

Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data including pages visited, device type, and general geographic region. No personally identifiable information is collected in analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information we collect to process your uploaded photos and return AI-generated outfit recommendations, manage your account and subscription, understand usage patterns to improve the service, and respond to support inquiries. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

OpenAI: Uploaded photos are sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. OpenAI processes images in accordance with their Privacy Policy. OpenAI does not use API-submitted data to train their models by default.

Stripe: Premium subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

Affiliate Links: Product recommendations include affiliate links to retailers including Nordstrom, Banana Republic, and J.Crew. These retailers have their own privacy policies and may use cookies to track purchases. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

4. Data Retention

Uploaded photos are not retained — discarded immediately after AI analysis. Wardrobe data is stored locally in your browser only. Account data is retained while your account is active. Contact us at hello@fitscheck.ai to request deletion.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at hello@fitscheck.ai. Because we collect minimal data and no photos are retained, most requests can be resolved quickly.

6. Children's Privacy

FitsCheck is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
